Oct 7: Raising the Walls

The Den, Master Bedroom, and Utility Room SIP walls, facing northeast, are shown raised into place and nailed to the Timberstrand, (nontoxic zinc-borate impregnated) mudsill .

The SIP walls are 8-1/4" thick and made of an expanded polystyrene (EPS) core sandwiched between inside and outside skins of oriented strandboard (OSB), each skin is 7/16" thick.  The R-value of a wall is 33.

Winter clouds gather, as the slab awaits its ultimate bestowing of a third dimension with walls.
