Oct 4: The Perfect Slab

A perfect pour begets a perfect slab.  If a slab is going to crack, the cracks begin to show almost immediately.  After 5 days of curing, Todd tells me that he hasn't seen a single crack.

Todd applies a light blue colored plastic, made by ' Henry ' for this specific purpose, to the top of the stem wall to separate the wood mudsill from the concrete surface to stop moisture from reaching the wood structure above through the concrete, shown in the following photos.

The Master Bathroom slab is recessed 2" in preparation for the tile on mortar finished floor that goes over it, which will slope to the drain located in the curbless shower beyond, shown in the following photos.
